Applications for the STEM Teacher Ambassador program are now open to all recipients of the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching until March 15. Ten PAEMST awardees will be invited to become 2017 Ambassadors and participate in an intensive five-day session in Washington, D.C. later this summer.

A 4-3 vote by the South Dakota Senate Education Committee "approved a bill that would allow teachers to discuss scientific theories with students and point out any weaknesses in said theories or provide alternative views that could counter them." Read more about the new bill here.
