Scofflaw slaughterhouse

Emergency use only

Folks looking for a COVID test should steer clear of their local ER. 

That's the message from local hospital leaders, who say sick people have been showing up to emergency wards looking for a coronavirus diagnosis.

Problem is, as Paul Cobler reports, hurried and harried ER staff don't have time to respond to so many non-emergency issues, which drive up wait times for patients with more serious problems. 


A murder arrest months in the making

About four-and-a-half months after a man was found dead from a head wound by his West Feliciana Parish home, officials say they've found a homicide suspect linked to the case. Here's what police told us.
