Modern Renaissance Man
Griff's greatest passion is art and painting.
Griff started painting at the age of six, and throughout elementary school into middle school, his teachers were showing his work to other parents and teachers. Griff began selling his work professionally at the age of 15, and had sold more than 30 paintings by the time he entered college.
Education
After attending Chapman University and Semester at Sea, Griff received a scholarship to the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Trained in all facets of fine art; illustration, watercolor, oils, drawing, pastels, and airbrush art.
Publishing
Upon graduation he conceived, designed, and produced "Air Powered, the Art of the Airbrush," for Random House, selling more than 250,000 copies in hardbound. In total, Griff has authored six books (including two best sellers). His most recent publications are "Beyond Genius...The 12 Essential Traits of Today's Renaissance Men," and the follow up, "RenWomen."
Teaching
As Griff continued to build his reputation for his creative talents, he was invited to be an instructor for senior designers at Art Center.. He has also taught at Chapman University, and Pepperdine University.
Career Accomplishments
Griff served as President of the Art Center College of Design Alumni Association. He has conceived, led, and served on creative teams with some of the most prestigious brands in the world: Crystal Cruises, Nokia, Mitch for Men (Paul Mitchell's men's division), House of Blues, 18/8, Griff's Ace Grooming & Shave Bars, Rhino Chasers Microbrewery, and Avery Dennison, to name a few.
