SCOTTISH WEDDING INDUSTRY FUND NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS This Scottish Wedding Industry Fund aims to provide support to businesses whose main income comes from the wedding and civil partnerships industry, which has been significantly impacted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is designed to support businesses which had been generating at least 50 per cent of its income from wedding bookings before the COVID-19 pandemic and who has lost at least 50 per cent of its overall turnover due to the pandemic. |

100 Per Cent Rate Relief for Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Businesses Confirmed The Scottish Government has confirmed Retail, hospitality, leisure and aviation businesses will get 100 per cent non-domestic rates relief extended for at least an additional three months. The continued support for the sectors most affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic will be funded by the rates relief voluntarily returned by businesses, including retailers. Taxi and Private Hire Drivers Encouraged to Apply Online For Grants Taxi and private hire drivers who have not received state benefits at any time since March last year are being encouraged to apply for a £1,500 business support grant as long as they meet the remaining criteria. Applications are now being accepted on the Fife Council website. |

Additional Payments Underway For Farmers and Crofters Around 18,000 farmers and crofters will benefit from support worth £71.8 million as the second and final instalment of convergence funding is distributed. This comes from a £160 million package the UK Government agreed to pay to rectify a ‘historic wrong’ relating to EU Common Agricultural Policy funding that it failed to pass on to Scotland between 2014-2020.
