ON THE AIR: Sean Payton is making good on his expressed interest in getting a television job. Ahead of the Super Bowl on Sunday in Englewood, California, the former New Orleans Saints head coach was making the rounds on radio row Friday, and said he's been getting a few consistent questions with every interview: "When are you coaching again?" and "Are you coaching the Cowboys?" He dismissed those notions, saying, "I want to do TV. I'm really here because I'm going to interview with some network people." Also on the Super Bowl beat, we talked with three former Saints who'll be suiting up for the Cincinnati Bengals and found a Joe Burrow king cake.
LYING IN WAIT: In another New Orleans candid crime camera moment, three people waited in a parked car for more than 30 minutes before ambushing and shooting a man leaving the Volunteers of America building in the St. Roch area. Watch the video.
'WILDCAT STRIKE': Parents at 14 St. Tammany Parish public schools received calls Friday afternoon asking them to pick up their children if possible, after 62 school bus drivers called in sick as tension over their pay escalated. The union president called it a "wildcat strike."
