Starting tackles still missing from workouts, though
With Jeff Duncan T.G.I.F. Welcome to the Friday edition of the Saints Insider newsletter. There was more good news for the Saints on Thursday. Head coach Sean Payton and veteran defensive end Cam Jordan both rejoined the team after dealing with separate COVID-19 issues. The Saints' roster should be closer to full strength for the Bucs game on Sunday night than at any time in the past month. Jordan was sidelined last week after testing positive for the coronavirus. He missed the Saints' 30-9 win against the New York Jets on Sunday. Luke Johnson has the story. In another positive development, defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson and receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey were both upgraded on the Thursday injury report. Luke Johnson has the full injury report both the Saints and the Bucs. And finally, in an off-the-field Saints-related story, owner Gayle Benson has expanded her business empire yet again -- this time by acquiring a major real estate business in New Orleans. Tony McAuley has the story on Benson's latest acquisition. That's it for today. We'll have more news, notes and opinion columns throughout the week. As always, thanks for reading and check www.nola.com throughout the day for more coverage of the Saints as they prepare for their big showdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Until next time, Jeff Duncan |
