The Charity Series of Poker is hosting a second annual $300 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament, Cards for Curling, on Aug. 26 to benefit CurlVegas. It will take place at The Stirling Club in Las Vegas, Nevada. CurlVegas, a Nevada non-profit, is dedicated to bringing a dedicated curling facility to Las Vegas. It’s a curling club that works with veterans, youth, seniors, and persons with disabilities. A silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and buffet-style dinner will be hosted before the tournament at 4:30 pm to start the festivities. Anyone can attend that part of the evening for $150 without playing in the tournament. Attire for the event is business casual. The poker tournament will begin at 5:30 pm, and players will start with stacks of 10,000 chips. There will be 10,000 chip re-buys, and 20,000 chip add-ons available as well. The grand prize in the tournament is $5,000. This will be the 51st stop of the CSOP series, and other upcoming stops include the Viva St Jude event on Sept. 9 and Go All In for Ability event on Sept. 16. Established in 2014, the Charity Series of Poker is a nonprofit company founded to organize and promote charity poker tournaments and other events that raise money and awareness for worthy organizations and causes. Poker professional Matt Stout is the founder and president of the CSOP.
