NATIONAL: VenuIQ has announced its upcoming virtual event, "To Hybrid and Beyond." The event will take place June 18 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and will highlight the importance of hybrid events moving forward after COVID-19. Six speakers have been confirmed, including Leanne Josephs, head of events for the NHS Confederation, and Jesse Peterkin, head of events for Founders Forum. For those unable to attend, the content will be available online once the event is finished. The Council on Culture and Arts will be hosting a virtual symposium on diversity, equity and inclusion on June 21 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. The keynote speaker will be Mariama Boney, president and CEO of Achieve More LLC, and the event will feature panel discussions and talks to move forward with a community mindset. ATLANTA: The EVEN Hotel Atlanta-Cobb Galleria opened earlier this month. The 133-room hotel is the second Atlanta area location developed by EPELBOIM and EVEN. Guests can enjoy a balance of work and play in a space that is only a short distance away from a few of Atlanta’s top spots including Truist Park, The Battery and more. LAS VEGAS: Resorts World Las Vegas will present a new gaming experience when the 3,500-room venue opens June 24. The gaming space is 117,000 square feet with over 1,400 slot machines, 117 table games, a separate poker room and more; tech-forward highlights include mobile payments, cashless wagering via NRT Technology and a digital table games experience with RFID bet tracking. WASHINGTON, DC: The Kimpton Banneker Hotel is officially open on 16 Street. There are 144 rooms along with Le Sel, the on-site restaurant, and Lady Bird, the rooftop bar that will be open all year-round after its opening later this summer.
