While instructional designers remain involved in creating online courses, their role in other aspects of higher education is evolving and expanding more than ever.

This report sheds light on the role of instructional designers on campuses, including:
  • Fifty-three percent of instructional designers say they have helped design courses in five or more disciplines.
  • Eighty percent say they have helped faculty revise or adapt existing courses, lessons, and activities.
