1. WHITE HOUSE HOSTS 141ST EASTER EGG ROLL: The White House held its 141st annual Easter Egg Roll on Monday, drawing around 30,000 people to the South Lawn. The event featured an Easter bunny, performances by military bands, and games themed around Melania Trump’s “Be Best” campaign. Washington Post: “Much like last year, no boldfaced names headlined the event—talk-show host Kelly Ripa and musical group Fifth Harmony warmed up the crowd in past years—though the first lady announced that she would introduce several new activities, including ‘Be Best hopscotch’ and musical eggs. The first lady’s signature campaign to combat online bullying was to be featured more prominently at this year’s event than it was during last year’s festivities. American egg farmers were to provide a record-breaking 74,000 eggs to the White House for the egg roll, egg decorating stations, and to be served on a stick as ‘EggPops,’ according to the American Egg Board.”

2. COURT RULES LIVE NATION NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DRUNK FESTIVAL ATTENDEE INJURIES: A Michigan appeals court has ruled that drunk festivalgoers are responsible if they get injured while attending a Live Nation event. The ruling came after a woman named Brandi Roe sued Live Nation and Michigan International Speedway for breaking her ankle after leaving Faster Horses Festival in 2016. Billboard: “For Roe's initial suit, the judges granted summary judgment disposition in favor of MIS and Live Nation and topped it off with a fairly scathing response: ‘We conclude that an average person of ordinary intelligence would have, upon casual inspection, been able to discover and appreciate the danger and risk associated with venturing off a well-lit pathway intended for pedestrian ingress and egress in order to enter a dark, wooded area with possible varied terrain at night.’ Roe appealed her case on the grounds that there were extenuating circumstances that created a higher risk of harm than usual; namely, that she was obligated to help her friend, and couldn't have avoided falling into the ravine on her way to assist him. The judges responded that the ‘plaintiff was not required or compelled to follow her companion into the dark wooded area. In fact, plaintiff and her companion could have stood in line to use the portable restrooms instead of venturing off the path.’”

3. TIFFANY & CO. TO OPEN MOTHER’S DAY BREAKFAST POP-UP: For people in Beverly Hills looking for a Mother’s Day weekend idea, Tiffany & Co. is allowing consumers to actually have breakfast at Tiffany’s. The jewelry company is opening a pop-up café at its Beverly Hills location May 4-5. The Hollywood Reporter: “Inspired by the Blue Box Cafe at their flagship store in New York City, the temporary café, located on the outdoor patio of the Rodeo Drive boutique, will make breakfast at Tiffany & Co. a reality for fans of the cult movie. The Blue Box Cafe in New York City has been one of the most sought-after reservations since it opened in 2017. The Tiffany Cafe at Beverly Hills will serve a prix fixe breakfast with a selection of pastries—including Holly Golightly's famous croissant—along with granola, waffles, avocado toast, and bagels with the works for $45 per person all served on Tiffany & Co.’s blue Color Block bone china and the brand's signature Bellocq blend No. 727 Tiffany Tea. … For those who don't manage to snag a table, there will also be a pop-up Tiffany Blue coffee cart serving complimentary coffee and a custom newspaper stand.”
