Cameras for season 6 of The Crown are officially rolling at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where Prince William and Kate Middleton first met. Photos published on Friday, show the Netflix film crew shooting on campus with Ed McVey, who plays Prince William, and Meg Bellamy, who has been cast as Kate. According to Vogue, the final season of The Crown will take the series from the late '90s to the early 2000s, encompassing the tragic death of Princess Diana in 1997. Elizabeth Debicki will reprise her role as Diana, Princess of Wales, in season six, having taken over from Emma Corrin in season five. So, too, will Dominic West, who succeeded Josh O'Connor as Prince Charles in the latest instalment. Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret and Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip will also return, alongside Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles, Khalid Abdalla as Dodi Fayed, Salim Daw as Mohamed Al-Fayed, and Bertie Carvel and Lydia Leonard as Tony and Cherie Blair. McVey and Bellamy count The Crown as their first professional television appearance. Click 'read more' to see the BTS photos. |
