Our Modern and Contemporary Art auction is only a month away and with just a couple of weeks left for new entries, our specialist Abigail Molenaar is busy cataloguing and preparing an exciting array of artworks for the forthcoming catalogue. This is one of our favourite sales in the auction calendar, offering a huge range of works from more affordable up to investment pieces from some of the most inspiring and game-changing names in the art world. With a diverse mix of pieces by local, national and internationally renowned artists, there is something to suit any collection in this sale whether you are an experienced collector looking for a specific piece, or a budding art enthusiast looking to get starting on your collecting journey.
 
This April’s sale is looking particularly strong for prints with examples by Graham Sutherland, Dame Laura Knight, Tom Phillips, Ceri Richards and John Piper already consigned to the auction. Highlights for paintings include a stunning watercolour by French Neo-Impressionist painter Paul Signac, a classic Continental oil by D’Oyly John and an interesting collection of industrial landscape oils by contemporary painter Janet Ledger.
