🔔 The Opening Bell |
Good morning. Senators had a long night on Monday, pulling an all-nighter to finish voting on President Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill”—which passed, but left many dissatisfied. Their one consolation is that the name “Big, Beautiful Bill” has been struck from the record through Senate rules. |
The bill affects investors in some key ways that are worth being aware of—quick summary down below. |
Second-home luxury real estate is a $1.3 trillion opportunity, according to Pacaso—and you can invest in their new global expansion. They’ve already made $100 million in profit with their vacation home co-ownership platform, and they plan to grow beyond that. Here’s some more info: |

Former Zillow Execs Target $1.3T Market |
|
The wealthiest companies tend to target the biggest markets. For example, NVIDIA skyrocketed nearly 200% higher in the last year with the $214B AI market’s tailwind. That’s why investors like SoftBank are so excited about Pacaso. |
Created by the team that grew Zillow to a $16B valuation, Pacaso’s digital marketplace offers easy purchase, ownership, and enjoyment of luxury vacation homes. And, their target market is worth a whopping $1.3T. No wonder Pacaso has earned over $100M in gross profits. Now, they’re taking their biggest step yet – with a focus on international markets. |
Their first two Paris properties sold out in record time, so they just added another. They already have seven homes in Cabo, and they just bought their most expensive European property yet in London. And this expansion is truly just beginning. |

📰 Market Headlines |
|
Markets were split yesterday after the Senate passed President Trump’s tax bill in a 50-50 vote, with VP JD Vance breaking the tie. |
The Dow jumped 1% while the Nasdaq slid 0.8%, and the S&P 500 dipped 0.1% after briefly touching another record. Senate Republicans stripped key provisions overnight from the tax bill, including a proposed 10-year AI ban that failed despite Silicon Valley support. |
Most of the ways that the bill impacts investors is by potentially opening up more capital for them to invest with. However, there are some industry-specific changes that readers should be aware of as well for the sake of their portfolios. |
Lower income tax - for investors earning less than $500,000 a year, up to $40,000 would be exempt with the new SALT cap. Child tax credit - the bill would increase the largest child tax credit to $2,200 a year. Note: the tax credit will not help low-income families. Big tax break on tips, overtime - tip-earning workers would have a tax break of up to $25,000 a year, and employees who can work overtime hours would get a deduction for up to $12,500 in overtime income. Savings account for babies - children born between 2024 and 2028 would get a $1,000 savings account from the government. No more clean energy tax breaks - the bill would also remove EV tax credits entirely and also end tax breaks for energy-efficient home renovations (solar panels, electric heat pumps, new windows). Break for contractors/freelancers - “pass-through” businesses would get an increased (and permanent) income tax deduction of 23% instead of 20%. |
Overall, middle- to upper- class investors will see the most benefit financially. Clean energy investors might want to take the tax credit and tax break removals into account when evaluating their current portfolios. |

Fed Chair Jerome Powell blamed tariffs for causing the central bank to delay rate cuts at a forum in Portugal. He added that without tariffs, the Fed would have cut rates further by now. The 10-year treasury yield rose to 4.25% and the 2-year jumped to 3.78% in reaction to Powell. |
