The UK IPO has launched a questionnaire asking SME if the Standard Essential Patents framework is functioning efficiently and effectively for them.

Do you know of any SME, small-cap or mid-cap businesses who use technical standards?

Four days left to share your views

We are inviting smaller-sized businesses to respond to a short questionnaire asking about their experiences when interacting with, or using, technical standards when innovating.

Background

Last year, we led a call for views to gather evidence on whether the framework around Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) is functioning efficiently and effectively and strikes the right balance for all types and sizes of businesses involved.

While we received responses from larger organisations, we didn't hear sufficient evidence directly from UK SMEs, small-cap and mid-cap businesses.

Please circulate to businesses you're aware of that fall within this category.

If you have any questions, please contact: sepcallforviews@ipo.gov.uk.

Thank you.
