ハイテク産業分野で世界的シェアを持つリード。創業50周年を記念し、TokyoDexはアートプロジェクトの企画をご依頼頂きました。リード仙台工場メンバー約100人が参加するワークショップをTokyoDexが開催し、「成長」をテーマに、リード設立50周年を記念するアート作品のアイディアを膨らませました。
本作品は、アーティスト・宇都宮涼子が制作。50年の歴史の積み重ねと成長し続けていく思いを表した大樹、その鮮やかな葉の色は社員の多様性を表現しています。また、脱皮し自由に羽ばたいていく蝶、チームでの成長と収穫の喜びを表す出世魚等、社員が成長の象徴として考えた様々なモチーフが木の葉の中に描かれています。

TokyoDex recently organized a workshop attended by approximately 100 members of the global tech leader, READ Sendai Factory. The purpose of this gathering was to brainstorm ideas for a commemorative artwork celebrating READ’s 50th anniversary, with the overarching theme of “growth.” Artist Ryoko Utsunomiya was commissioned to bring this concept to life, and her creation takes the form of a grand tree, symbolizing the accumulation of 50 years of history and the unwavering commitment to continuous growth. The vibrant hues adorning its leaves serve as a visual representation of the diverse workforce at READ. Within the intricate foliage of the tree, one can find a butterfly undergoing metamorphosis, gracefully fluttering its wings to symbolize the freedom inherent in growth. Additionally, a jubilant fish signifies the joy experienced through team development and the fruitful results. Various other motifs conceived by READ employees have been seamlessly integrated into the leaves, each one serving as a unique symbol of growth.

TokyoDexがアートを手がけたグリー(株)のオフィスが、日本最大級の空間デザインのアワードである日本空間デザイン賞2023のShortlistに入賞しました！名誉ある本賞で、designFreakとEspo Atelierと一緒に取り組んだ、グリーのようなアートが溢れるオフィスが選出されたことを大変嬉しく思います。今後は日本だけでなく、海外のプロジェクトにも挑戦して行く予定です！皆様と素敵な空間を世界で創っていけることを楽しみにしています。

The GREE Headquarters project was short-listed for the prestigious Japan Spatial Design Award 2023, one of the most prominent awards in the realm of space design in Japan.
