How to make French toast sticks so interesting that even Grandpa wants them! Get the dipping sauce mix for free!
It takes a lot to interest grandpa. He's seen everything. But everybody likes to dip, like--everyone dips French fries. French toast sticks are perfect breakfast dippers. Just give them the filling that they want. A favorite jam. (The kids want Cherry Bubblegum Jelly. It really does taste like bubblegum.) Peanut Butter Marshmallow Cream Nutella Whipped Cream Cheese For Grandpa, try something like whipped cream cheese with blueberries. If you really want him to go bonkers, try cream cheese whipped with apricot syrup and chopped walnuts. That'll do it! Here's how to make them: Make a sandwich, cut it into sticks, dip them in egg wash like you do other French toast, and cook them on a griddle. Turn them so that they're cooked on all four sides. Make the sauce according to package directions, put it in pretty little ramekins,--one for each person--and dip them like French fries. (And of course, Grandpa can eat his on a plate.) Have fun!
