4th edition of the Santa's not a scumbag festival in Gironde

The last December 14th, the Surfrider Europe chapter of Gironde helped us to prepare Christmas with their fourth edition of Santa's not a scumbag festival. On the program? Animations, raising awareness actions about over-consumption running during those holidays, DIY workshop, Ocean Initiative on the shores of the Garonne River… A pretty busy day which permitted to the participants to prepare their end of the year parties more respectful for the environment.

Plastic version of Magritte's artwork led by Surfrider Bruxelles and Les Gozettes

In mid-December, Surfrider Brussels and the raising awareness association about the zero waste way of life from Namur Les Gozettes were inspired by the painter Réné Magritte and invited us to the realization of a new collective and made of plastic waste version of the most known Belgian surrealist’s artwork “L’invention Collective” (1934). The purpose was to change our look on this often single use plastic material by reusing it in a durable and artistic way. Good job!
