OCEAN INITIATIVE  

ERICIERA CHAPTER

At the end of August a "Green Water" day was organized by the Ericeira Chapter (Portugal). Volunteers enjoyed stand up paddle lessons in addition to various environmental awareness sessions. Attendees were able to participate in discussion and exchange workshops, a beach cleaning and a screening of the film "A Plastic Ocean", followed by a discussion / debate. A truly beautiful awareness day!

GUADELOUPE CHAPTER

The Guadeloupe Chapter was reactivated by a new motivated team of volunteers this summer and has wasted no time organizing several actions including a big Ocean Initiative of thirty volunteers this August! Alongside Martinique and Reunion Island, Guadeloupe comprises the 3rd branch of the French overseas department. Congratulations to the volunteers and welcome back to Surfrider!
