Cincinnati Children's Hospital redesigned its shared governance model to empower professionals from all settings and roles to actively participate in all levels of organizational decision-making.
The More the Merrier As the saying goes, "Two heads are better than one." That's why Cincinnati Children's Hospital's shared governance program is not strictly for nurses. The organization moved to an Interprofessional Shared Governance structure in 2008 and redesigned the system in 2016 to make its Shared Leadership model more effective.
