Luci Swindoll exemplified a life well-lived. As the older sister of well-known preacher Chuck Swindoll, she had a thriving ministry of her own, writing books and headlining Women of Faith conferences for over 20 years. Though she was remained single throughout her life, Luci never allowed her singleness to limit the impact and influence she had. Whether she was singing opera, making others laugh, or speaking against the perils of legalism, Luci remained committed to embracing the whole world.

“When I’m with the Lord face to face,” Swindoll said, “it is my own life that I lay down and not the prefabrication of one who always tried to be somebody else.” Thanks be to God for faithful women who walk in truth to the very end. She will be missed, and her legacy will continue.
