Rite Aid, CVS face lawsuits for misleading shoppers

Rite Aid is taking some legal heat over a private label product used for oral care.

Back in March, CVS was named in a lawsuit claiming that the discs contribute to tooth erosion. Rite Aid is also accused of submitting false subscription claims to healthcare programs. Rite Aid and CVS have experienced legal trouble over the last few months.

Three Kroger chains will now offer SNAP EBT payments

SNAP benefits can be used via app or when shopping online.

Fred Meyer, Smith’s, and QFC, all owned by Kroger, will start taking SNAP EBT payments for orders online. The three chains had previously been accepting Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits at brick-and-mortar locations, but now shoppers can apply those benefits via the stores’ app and online.

WinCo Foods submits plans for massive facility in Central Washington

The build would include a 1M square-foot grocery distribution warehouse.

The plans include a five-parcel distribution center on over 100 acres. The logistical center will also include a roughly 47,000-square-foot truck returns warehouse, a nearly 800-square-foot driver waiting building, and an almost 400-square-foot check-in building, according to a city document.
