Cavs feel they're "getting close": The Cavs' three losses in the last week have gone down to the fourth quarter at the minimum. They still hold the NBA's worst record at 1-11. But the team feels it is closing in on an elusive win, as cleveland.com's Chris Fedor wrote. "We're starting to play with a sense of urgency. It really comes down to plays going down the stretch. On the road all you can do is put yourself in position to win the game and I thought we did that the other night," Cavs coach Larry Drew said. Read more.

Cavs-Hornets preview: The Cavaliers are back home tonight for a second meeting with Kemba Walker and the Charlotte Hornets. Last time the teams met was in Charlotte on Nov. 3, which the Hornets won, 126-94. Chris Fedor of cleveland.com previewed tonight's game. Read more.

Korver out vs. the Hornets: The banged-up Cavaliers are already without Sam Dekker, George Hill, Kevin Love and Cedi Osman. They will also be without Kyle Korver tonight against the Hornets. As cleveland.com's Chris Fedor wrote, both Korver and JR Smith missed Monday's practice. Read more.

LeBron "almost cracked" in L.A.: LeBron James and the Lakers have gotten off to a start that has been anything but smooth. But they got to above .500 at 7-6 with three straight wins. But James admitted to Chris Haynes of Yahoo that the transition has tested him. James went as far as to say he "almost cracked" during the Lakers' rough patch. Read more.
