Shots in arms, checks in pockets

Democrats promised urgent action to take on the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the American Rescue Plan is already putting checks into pockets and getting more shots in arms.

President Biden and Democrats in the House and the Senate are delivering real results and real relief for Oregonians and Americans. Sign our card thanking them for their urgent action in passing the American Rescue Plan.

The American Rescue Plan has broad bipartisan support from Democrats, Republicans, and Independents across the country. But when they had a chance to support relief for people who need help, Republicans in Congress decided they'd rather play politics instead.

Democrats voted to send $1,400 checks to Americans bearing the brunt of the crisis – not a single Republican in Congress joined them.

Democrats voted for a national vaccination program to get shots into people's arms – not a single Republican in Congress joined them.

Democrats voted for aid to small businesses struggling to keep their doors open – not a single Republican in Congress joined them.

Democrats voted for funding to keep educators on the payroll, safely reopen schools, and lower health care costs for millions – not a single Republican in Congress joined them.

And here in Oregon, the American Rescue Plan will provide $2.7 billion in fiscal relief to the state, $1.5 billion to Oregon cities, towns, and communities, and more than $1.1 billion to Oregon K-12 schools.

President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Democrats promised action, and they're already delivering relief to those who need it most. Add your name to thank the Democrats who made this possible.
