Where's Johnny Jet? It’s been a somber week here in Los Angles following the helicopter crash that killed an L.A. legend, his daughter and seven others. I only met Kobe once at a travel conference (GBTA) hosted by Turkish Airlines and he seemed like a great guy. Everything I’ve read about him this week tells me that he turned into a completely different person after he had children, especially girls.
I can somewhat relate to that, as for a long time, I thought I was going to be a bachelor all my life and travel the world. But then I met Natalie on a press trip, and I quickly realized she was the most amazing woman ever and that I would be the biggest fool if I let her slip through my fingers. We are now blessed to have two adorable children together. And once Jack, our first, was born, I think a switch flipped inside my brain. Suddenly, all I cared about and continue to care about is making sure that my family is safe, healthy, happy and kind to others. That’s why the current coronavirus situation is freaking me out. I have a RTW trip planned in a few weeks as a big birthday treat with my best friend but we’re leaning heavily towards canceling it. All the details of the trip are included in the story here. If you were me, would you still go? Please leave a comment on the page letting me know your thoughts. Scottevest 18th anniversary sale (25%-70% off!)
