Lee Benson asked Virginia Pearce, the director of the Utah Film Commission, to rank her favorite Sundance Film Festival movies over the years — she couldn’t do it. She couldn’t even keep it to a list of 30.

Pearce has a long history with the festival, and she’s a lifelong lover of indie movies. From “Little Miss Sunshine” to “Crip Camp” to “Napoleon Dynamite” and “The Blair Witch Project” and beyond, you’d be hard-pressed to find a film she didn’t see during the festival’s 46-year history.

Should children under 16 be denied access to social media apps?

Adolescents are on their devices as much as nine hours a day scrolling through social media, gaming, online shopping, texting and more, and there is an ever-growing amount of evidence that shows it’s detrimental to a young person’s mental health. Rep. Chris Stewart believes the solution is to make it illegal for social media companies to allow children under the age of 16 onto the platforms.
