Sturgeon 'would welcome' payments to self-isolators 

People who have been told they must self-isolate due to having coronavirus symptoms could be given funds to encourage them to stay at home.

It comes after SAGE said around 70 per cent of people are not doing so due to financial pressure.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said she would 'welcome' a rumoured £500 payment which the UK Government is said to be considering.

£500,000 for health workers' snacks

Hard-pressed healthcare workers in Scotland will receive a half a million pound boost to pay for hot drinks and snacks to help them rest and relax. 

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon made the announcement at today's coronavirus briefing, saying they have been doing an 'outstanding job' throughout the pandemic.
