GLOBAL: London-based Tarsus Group and Fern Exposition Services, LLC (a full-service exhibition services contractor) have announced an agreement where Fern will provide trade show services for more than a dozen Tarsus events produced annually through 2025 In North America. The agreement also includes an option to add future events during the term of the agreement. Tarsus delivers B2B events across the globe along with digital media and industry-focused publications.
ATLANTA: Nobu Hotel & Restaurant Atlanta is now open. The property serves as Nobu’s 15th location overall and the first in Georgia, making its debut in the Buckhead community at the modern mixed-use Phipps Plaza. The hotel features 152 guest rooms and suites, including a rooftop pool with surrounding event space, corporate conference rooms, and a state-of-the-art fitness center with Technogym equipment. And there's, of course, a Nobu restaurant, serving its signature new-style Japanese cuisine in a 10,000-square-foot space.
BETHESDA, MD.: Canopy by Hilton Washington DC Bethesda North is unveiling the "Holiday Lodge," a suite experience where guests can create holiday memories worthy of a Hallmark holiday movie. The suite features a hot cocoa nook, twinkling lights, accents of buffalo plaid, and faux fur textiles. Those who book the suite also get two tickets to New Winter City Lights, the 18-acre holiday lights festival just 20 minutes from the hotel, as well as complimentary valet parking. The hotel’s on-site restaurant, Hello Betty, has also created a special holiday menu exclusive to the Holiday Lodge suite. The lodge was to life by Dana Hall, founder of event company LUSHNICS.
FORT MEYERS, FLA.: Visit Fort Myers has released a new recovery update; the area and its beaches are still recovering and rebuilding from the impact of Hurricane Ian. Since the storm made landfall in Lee County, 62% of the county’s guest rooms have recently opened with more to come in the weeks and months ahead. The SWFL Relief Fund will directly support hospitality workers on Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel and Captiva islands, Pine Island, Matlacha, and more. And holiday events are in full swing, including the Holiday Stroll in downtown Bonita Springs and holiday lights at Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium.
LOS ANGELES: Luxury landmark hotel Fairmont Century Plaza has unveiled an après-ski dining experience known as Winter Swiss Chalets. It aims to transport guests and locals to the Alps this holiday season with three luxuriously appointed wood Swiss chalets on the outdoor patio of The Bar. Guests can choose from a prix fixe menu of chocolate fondue, cheese fondue, and a curated selection of winter appetizers, holiday cocktails, and non-alcoholic favorites, or warm up beside a small private fire pit with an elevated s’mores platter. Reservations for the chalets are available daily.
