A 1982 time capsule installed at Seattle's Space Needle was supposed to be opened in 2002, but as staff turned over and the plaque marking its placement disappeared, the capsule was forgotten. It was discovered last week and opened after 35 years, revealing original sketches of the Space Needle, photos of elevator operators, a menu from the building's restaurant and more.
