Shudufhadzo Musida has arrived in Puerto Rico, ahead of the Miss World live show on 16 December.
The former Miss South Africa be taking part in the 70th edition of the pageant, where Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica will crown her successor at the end of the event.
Shudufhadzo's Miss World Beauty With A Purpose project will focus on mental health awareness, something she promoted throughout her Miss South Africa reign.
Sharing a photo from Puerto Rico on Instagram, Shudufhadzo wrote: "So filled with joy today during our first day of festivities in Paradise!"
In the photo, the 25-year-old, who hails from Limpopo, wears a purple Khosi Nkosi creation. She goes on to say: "It is not joy that makes us grateful, it is gratitude that makes us joyful."
