Cold War era nuclear tests may have affected rainfall

Nuclear weapons testing during the Cold War has been linked to a short-term increase in rainfall totals around the world, a study in Physical Review Letters suggests. Researchers proposed a potential link between thicker cloud cover, increased radioactivity and a jump in electrical activity with a 24% increase in rainfall.
