Bounty hunters: Star Wars toy to auction for nearly $250K
Few adult hobbyists spend more money than Star Wars collectors. Just a few years back, toymaker Hasbro sold a replica of Jabba the Huttâs personal yacht for nearly $500. Now, an old fan favorite is entering the auction circuit with an even more ludicrous price tag. This 3.5-inch action figure in the likeness of villain Boba Fett is estimated to sell for nearly $250,000 when it goes to auction in the coming weeks. Before you faint from shock, Star Wars collectors do have their reasons for this value. Only 30 of the figures were ever made back in 1978, and you could only own it by responding to a mail-in form. Most notably, this figure would be illegal to own today since the spring-loaded bullet it features would be considered a choking hazard. Forget choking, though â this toy is a marriage hazard!
