To qualify, you must be a resident of the City of Cockburn and either the property owner, authorised agent, or tenant with the owner's consent. Celebrating our unsung community heroes There are some extraordinary individuals who dedicate their time to making Cockburn the best place to be, and the Auspire Australia Day Community Citizen of the Year awards are a chance to recognise their remarkable contributions. The awards are presented on Australia Day, Friday, 26 January 2024.
The recipients will be selected from people and groups who have made a noteworthy contribution during the current year or given outstanding service to the community over a number of years. |

Why do we undertake prescribed burning in Cockburn? Prescribed burns are used to manage bushfire risks in Australia. These burns are planned well in advance by the land manager to ensure the safety of our community and natural environments. By implementing prescribed burns, we reduce bushfire risks and work together to protect our environment and community.
