Hey everyone, I hope you've all been enjoying the fine weather we've been having. This week the archives have thrown up some wonderful images that might help quench the thirst hot weather can bring. On my search of our vast records I stumbled across the wacky world of pub signs - those wonderful drawings hung outside public houses to tempt the great unwashed inside to sample the delights on offer. And Preston had a plethora of funny little ones on show. With news of Olivia Newton John's sad death filtering through we looked back on the legacy she left us with - Grease. The hit musical has stood the test of the time and has been covered by countless people across the world. Next up was our usual delve into years gone by for the people of Preston. It was the turn of 2009. And finally we continued our walk along the corridors of time gone by at various schools in Preston. It was the turn of Archbishop Temple High School this week - and a look back at the 90s and 00s. Did you attend this school perhaps? Or know someone who did? We hope this gallery will bring back memories for you. Enjoy the good weather and have a great weekend. We'll be back next week with more wonderful retro pictures.
