No Images? Click here On Nov 15, we launched our campaign Skateboarding is for Everybody, which celebrates the diversity in our Skate Schools. We are now three weeks into the campaign and we're writing to say a huge thank you. Thank you to all of you who donated or supported us in any way! Because of you, we have already raised over $60,000. Your contributions will help us to keep reaching children in Afghanistan, Cambodia and South Africa, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, ability or economic situation. Your donations make a real difference to the lives of our students. Since we launched our campaign, Skateistan students have attended programs at our Skate Schools over 5,000 times and we have run over 11,000 hours of creative education lessons, skatepark sessions and much more. And it's not too late to be a part of it! We have a target to raise $150,000 by the end of 2018. If you believe that all children have the right to safe spaces where they can play, learn and make new friends, please support us by making a donaton today. NEWS: CHPO WILL MATCH DONATIONS, UP TO $10,000! Exciting news! This week, our lovely friends over at CHPO will match donations to our Skateboarding is for Everybody campaign, up to $10,000! SKATEBOARDING IS FOR EVERYBODY: ALI'S STORY Ali and his family live in a camp for internally displaced people on the outskirts of Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan. At first, Ali was worried that he would miss out on his education because there is no school in the camp, but then one of his friends told him about Skateistan. Now Ali is coming to our Back-to-School accelerated learning program five days per week and will be able to rejoin the public school system after one year, meaning he won’t miss out on his education.
