Recognizing skilled care

I never thought I would see this question in my lifetime, particularly in 2020, the Year of the Nurse. Several nurses have begun asking, “What is the skilled service if the resident isn’t receiving rehab services?” Every time I hear that question, I cringe. Have we been wrapped up in the “720 minute” world for so long that we’ve forgotten what skilled nursing care really is? Unfortunately, I think the answer is yes.
