Tuggeranong residents say they're being left behind |
|
Sporting infrastructure, public transport, ageing infrastructure and run-down facilities are some of the areas Tuggeranong residents say have been overlooked. Some residents report spending up to two hours on public transport to get to their workplaces. Seeing money invested elsewhere in Canberra is a bitter pill to swallow for residents who love Tuggeranong. Two decades ago, it was Canberra's most populous district. It was the ACT's family factory, with an age profile skewed towards children and adults in their 30s and 40s. Yet today, Tuggeranong is shrinking. |
