Slim Chickens wants to open in Lafayette

A popular regional chicken chain announced it will expand into Louisiana with seven locations, including one in Lafayette Parish.

Slim Chickens, a fast-growing northwest Arkansas-based chain with locations across the country and overseas, plans to also open in the Baton Rouge, Alexandria and St. Tammany Parish markets, officials announced Wednesday.

But, yes, that makes more fried chicken in this market. Shaquille O'Neal's Big Chicken, Super Chix and Southern Classic Chicken have also said they are entering the market.
