UP FIRST Humane's intriguing Ai Pin is available next week for $699 There's a lot of buzz around the device because, well, we haven't really seen anything like it Six months after it was unveiled, Humane has announced that its unique screenless AI Pin device is about to go on sale. Aiming to give the smartphone a run for its money, the device’s operating system runs a range of AI-powered experiences that are on the device and in the cloud – there are no apps as such. You can interact with the Ai Pin via touch, talk, gesture, and, interestingly, a "laser ink display" that projects information onto your palm. A neat part of the demonstration video shows how the Ai Pin can be used for instant language interpretation. The Ai Pin is available for preorder from November 16 and will start shipping from early 2024. It costs $699 plus $24 per month for unlimited calling, texting, and data ...

They were sitting by my Legion Go so I figured I’d use them to enjoy some gaming on a giant 1080p display right in front of my eyes. Since I couldn’t really get out of bed, I decided to strap them on and turn my ceiling into a screen. Maybe I’d do a few races in Forza Motorsport or a fight or two in Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl 2 while laid up. I’d play neither of those. Instead, I was peacefully lying in the dark while a YouTuber whispered in my ears about malt liquor. Forget gaming, movies, or web browsing. Devices like the Legion Glasses have one true killer app: ASMR ...

Google announced the plan earlier this year, citing security reasons. It bases this partly on its own research, which showed that unattended accounts are far more likely to be infiltrated by hackers. It means that in some cases Google will be doing people a favor by deleting an account no longer in use, especially if it holds important personal data ...
