There's something about New York in January that's just right. Things are slower, it's no longer pitch black outside at 4PM on the dot, it's cold enough that there's no excuse not to just be eating soup all the time - might I recommend the Butternut Squash situation at Café Sabarsky or for the dedicated foodie, the Garlic Soup at Le B.? And of course for those not in full, soup-consumed hibernation mode there are still plenty of plans to be penciled in. Step out to go watch the New York Philharmonic live-score Hitchcock's Vertigo at Lincoln Center. Get your steps in wandering the treasure-filled booths at The Winter Show. Get dressed to the nines for our Book Club Soirée (details below), which is really more of a cocktail party where everyone happened to read / tried to read / meant to read the same book... I'm not worried about you - you'll find the fun! |
