Catch the UK premiere of this joyful, deeply personal production

“Part-play, part-live documentary, You Know We Belong Together is an uplifting show about love, loss, family, friendships and the frustrations and aspirations of living with Down syndrome.”

Snap up £20 tickets to see the UK premiere of You Know We Belong Together at Southbank Centre from 18-20 August. Jam-packed with personal experience, Julia Hales leads a cast of six Western Australian actors in a collaborative show about their hopes, ambitions and day-to-day realities as people with Down syndrome. Spoiler alert: Julia’s dream to be cast in Home and Away may make an appearance (she’s watched every single episode, by the way).

Funny and heartfelt in equal measure, You Know We Belong Together brings together the voices of a community rarely seen on stage. All set against the backdrop of Home and Away’s famous Summer Bay diner. Well it is Julia’s show, after all.

A UK Premiere

Following sold-out seasons at the 2018 Perth Festival and Black Swan’s 2019 season, this is your first ever opportunity to catch the award-winning show in the UK. A limited three-day run comes to Southbank Centre’s Purcell Room from Thursday 18 to Saturday 20 August.
