Sneaky Pete

Good morning, and welcome to a Tuesday edition of the Saints Insider newsletter. The Saints may be off today, but this newsletter is hashtag team no days off.

Quieting the storm

Normally, I'll try to take a sentence or two to convince you why you should read something, but honestly there's no doing better than what my colleague Rod Walker did with his opening lines.

"It’s a weekly occurrence now, about as routine in New Orleans as red beans and rice on a Monday.

Every Thursday, Pete Carmichael stands before local reporters, takes ownership of the New Orleans Saints' offensive struggles and tells us how he has to be better.

On Sunday in Foxborough, Massachusetts, he was."

Rod nailed his column about an important game for the Saints' beleaguered offensive coordinator here.

Go West ... again

Last year, running back Tony Jones played two games with the Saints before he was waived and subsequently claimed off waivers by an NFC West team.

This year, Jones played four games with the Saints before he was waived and subsequently claimed off waivers by an NFC West team.

Feisty D.A.

The Dennis Allen we all typically see in front of cameras is pretty mild mannered, but he's not always that guy around his team, as evidenced by this video shared from Allen's post-game comments to his team after it blew the doors off the Patriots in New England.

"That's my team!"

Appreciate y'all as always for staying with us. We'll be back at it throughout the week, and if y'all need some entertainment for your commute, make sure to check out the Saints Insider Podcast where ever you listen.

Cheers,

Luke Johnson
