Good morning Voornaam,

Another big day of Scottish news and sport this December Tuesday, with the latest Scottish education results published shortly and Scotland women taking on England in a mouth-watering clash at Hampden. The weather remains bleak and some public transport has been affected so do check before you travel. But as Christmas approaches, it feels only right to share a festive cracker joke to lift our spirits. I've included it below our headlines.

Five stories to start the day...

- Premium SNP ministers warned they must not 'pass the buck' if Pisa rankings show further decline in Scottish education

- Premium Meet the 25-year-old award-winning distiller en route to open a new business

- Grand Theft Auto: 5 references and Easter eggs about Scotland in GTA

- Premium Analysis - Keir Starmer did not ‘celebrate’ Margaret Thatcher, but it was still damaging

- Scotland vs England Women: Is the match on TV, ticket details, kick-off, team news for Nations League game at Hampden

What happened to the man that stole an advent calendar? He got 25 days.

Best wishes,

Josh
