Tuesday, 16 May 2023 Social Live Q&A WHO/Europe launches new #EliminateMpox campaign Join us on Wednesday, 17 May 2023, for a live social media conversation about mpox as WHO/Europe launches its new mpox campaign. Mpox is no longer a global health emergency, but it continues to pose public health challenges that require a robust, proactive and sustainable response.
The work of community organisations, together with public health authorities, had a huge impact on the decline of mpox cases in Europe and globally. We want to keep engaging with you for the months ahead in this campaign.
Launching the campaign to coincide with the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, is significant given the continued shame, stigma and discrimination that can affect LGBTQI+ health and wellbeing, including in the context of mpox.
WHO celebrates the right of everyone to live a healthy, dignified life and celebrates diversity in people’s sexual orientation & gender identity. SOCIAL MEDIA LIVE DETAILS: PANELISTS: - Dr Richard Pebody, WHO/Europe
- Amanita Calderon-Cifuentes, Transgender Europe (TGEU)
- Dr Will Nutland, The Love Tank
MODERATED BY: - Martin Joseph, comedian, broadcaster and host of the podcast What The Pox?
