02. CMU INSIGHTS @ CONVERGENCE 2016: MAKING MONEY FROM MEDIA? YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!
Thursday 17 Mar in London
CMU Insights puts the spotlight on the media sector in 2016 - how are media owners evolving their businesses in the digital age and what does that mean for the future of journalism?

CMU Business Editor Chris Cooke and media lawyer David Deakin of Lewis Silkin will review the different revenue streams open to media owners, and assess what's working and what is not. Is the future click-bait and branded content? Can readers be persuaded to pay for content? Are upsell, events and spin-offs the best way to make money from media?

We will then put the focus on music media and how different publishers have sought to build a business around music journalism. DIY magazine Publisher Rupert Vereker and Loud & Quiet Editor Stuart Stubbs will both discuss their respective titles, and how they have evolved their businesses, both online and in print.

Come join us for a lunchtime debate on all things media! This all takes place at the Ace Hotel in Shoreditch this Thursday, 17 Mar, at midday. TICKETS ARE JUST £8.70 HERE.
