Sixty percent of US workers say they feel distracted during the working day by the upcoming election, a 20% rise from December of last year, according to a Gartner report. In addition, 22% say the election is having a "big impact" on their job performance, 43% say it's difficult "to work with colleagues whose political beliefs differ from their own" and more than 60% want their "employer to provide at least one voter participation opportunity."

Almost 20% of job seekers switched industries in the second quarter, up from 15% in the first quarter, according to a Challenger, Gray & Christmas report. The study also reveals 7.5% of job seekers relocated to find work, a rise from 3.8% in the first quarter.
