Endlich stehen uns dieses Wochenende die ersten heißen Tage des Jahres ins Haus. Was passt da besser als unser „Diantha“, den mit großem Abstand meistverkauften Weißwein unseres Hauses. Diese sizilianische Cuvée aus Grecanico und Malvasia Bianca bring einfach alle Anlagen eines Bestsellers mit. Moderater Preis, niedriger Alkoholgehalt, spritzig aber säurearm, gepaart mit expressiver Frucht von Melone und Pfirsich. Kurzum, dieser Wein passt einfach immer und überall und schmeckt fast jedem, ohne dabei beliebig zu sein. Geht als Menübegleiter in der Sterneküche ebenso wie als Hauswein in der Pizzeria um die Ecke.
Das Weingut Carlo Pellegrino selbst stellt eine Art sizilianische Institution dar. 1880 im historischen Herzen Marsalas gegründet, ist der Weltruhm des gleichnamigen Likörweins eng und maßgeblich mit der Geschichte der Pellegrinos verbunden. Die großen Marsalas des Hauses erhalten Jahr für Jahr Höchstauszeichnungen. Ebenso jedoch die Weine, die wie der rote „Tripudium“ auch mit „Tre Bicchieri“ Gambero Rosso ausgezeichnet sind.
