Liebe Weinfreunde, wenn es wirklich so etwas wie den oft beworbenen Sommerwein geben sollte, hätte unser "Diantha" definitiv eine Favoritenrolle inne. Dieser fruchtig, leichte Wein aus dem Hause Carlo Pellegrino ist der Inbegriff eines sogenannten Terassenweines: nicht allzu trocken, elegant und wunderbar ausgewogen. Schon auf dem Etikett dieses Weines ist eine Sonne abgebildet, weshalb viele Kunden in unserem Ladengeschäft des Öfteren nach dem "Sonnenwein" fragen, wenn ihnen der Name des Weines entfallen ist. In der Tat handelt es sich beim "Diantha" um den mit großem Abstand meistverkauften Weißwein unseres Hauses. Diese sizilianische Cuvée aus Grecanico und Malvasia Bianca bringt alle Anlagen eines Bestseller mit: moderater Preis, niedriger Alkoholgehalt, spritzig aber säurearm, gepaart mit expressiver Frucht von Melone und Pfirsich. Kurzum, dieser Wein passt einfach immer und überall und schmeckt fast jedem, ohne dabei beliebig zu sein. Auch unter unseren Gastronomiekunden ist dieser Wein sowohl in der Sterneküche als auch in der Pizzeria um die Ecke vertreten. Das Weingut Carlo Pellegrino selbst stellt eine Art sizilianische Institution dar. 1880 im historischen Herzen Marsalas gegründet, ist der Weltruhm des gleichnamigen Likörweins eng und maßgeblich mit der Geschichte der Pellegrinos verbunden.
