Elon Musk criticizes new Microsoft AI tool that gives PCs 'photographic memory'

Tesla chief says he will definitely be turning the Recall feature off

Elon Musk has joined privacy campaigners to express alarm over a new Copilot+ feature announced by Microsoft earlier this week during its Build developer conference, PC Mag reported.

"This is a Black Mirror episode," Musk said in response to the new Recall tool. “Definitely turning this 'feature' off."

Recall works by taking snapshots of all on-screen activity, which form the basis of an AI-powered tool that surfaces relevant screenshots when the user performs a search on their computer. Apple eyeing a foldable iPhone with a self-healing display

Patent details material aimed at reducing dents and scratches

Numerous rumors already suggest that Apple is developing a foldable phone, but a recently awarded patent suggests it could include a display that has a layer with self-healing properties, Patently Apple reported.

The self-healing material would serve to reduce the number of dents and scratches spoiling the display and “may fill the dent even without external intervention,” according to the document, though the process could also take place using heat from transparent conductors in the display.

Patently Apple said it’s also possible that the special material would appear only in the flexible region of the display, which experiences the most stress. But remember, this is just a patent, so it may not happen ...
