These South African university courses are among the best in the world
We are often quite critical about what we perceive to be a lowering of standards in respect of our universities. Every year QS World University Rankings publish a wide range of different rankings, this one ranks courses offered at South African universities, and how they rank in the top 500 universities globally.
There are 20,000 registered universities globally, nine of the 23 South African universities rank in the top 800, or the top 4% depending on how you look at it.

Goldman Sachs are the world’s third-biggest investment bank. So they know a thing or two when it comes to picking out a country with massive ’emerging market’ potential. And right now, they’re championing South Africa.
Your eyes do not deceive you. As reported by Fin24, Mzansi is now showing the signs of bouncing back from a bruising 2017, which saw everything from recessions to junk statuses take a firm grip on the country’s economy.

MASTERCARD INDEX have, consistent with Women’s Day, published an interesting infographic on Women Entrepreneurs – the Mastercard Index on Women Entrepreneurs (MIWE) comparing how we do against the rest of sub-Saharan Africa.
It’s one of those “behind your back right in front of your eyes” statistics and it reveals the remarkable progress that we have made in respect of the advancement of Women.

Road rage:In Cape Town, an average commuter would lose 42 minutes per day due to rush hour traffic, which totals to just under 7 days in a year. In Johannesburg, this figure will be almost six full days per year, and in East London approximately five full days. However, according to a research study conducted by Shell, South Africa is not all doom and gloom.
