Southern Classic Chicken is here

BY ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana Business Editor

There's a scene near the end of the film Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? where George Clooney's character starts to sing into a microphone when he is immediately struck at how the crowd is going berserk over his little song.

That's kind of how I felt when I first wrote about Southern Classic Chicken's plans to open in Lafayette. Much like Everett McGill, I was surprised by the reaction.

The first of what could be multiple locations in Lafayette opened last week, and the line of cars snaked down Johnston Street. People liked it.

You can read Jakori Madison's story here.
